Who is Misterwater®?

Misterwater, founded by water expert Erich Meidert, has stood for high-quality "Made in Germany" water filter technology since 1997. The company develops high-performance drinking water systems for households, practices, and commercial applications – with the goal of transforming tap water into absolutely pure, great-tasting, and vital water.

At its core is the combination of proven reverse osmosis technology and innovative vitalization processes – optionally with hydrogen enrichment. How Misterwater works – Cleaning & Vitalization in detail

  1. Pre-filtration: Coarse and activated carbon filters remove sediments, chlorine, odors, and organic impurities.
  2. Reverse osmosis: A powerful membrane filters up to 98.9% of all undesirable substances – including heavy metals, nitrates, drug residues, microplastics, germs, and limescale.
  3. Vitalization: The purified water is passed through a special energizing module that works with natural magnetic fields, light waves, and structuring materials.
  4. Hydrogen modules: Molecular hydrogen is incorporated into the water – for more energy, cell protection, and antioxidant effects.

According to Erich Meidert, the founder and head of Misterwater, Misterwater's basic motivation is that everyone can enjoy affordable, traceable, and very good drinking water. Erich Meidert is fulfilling his life's mission by providing people with access to high-quality drinking water and pursuing this goal with transparency and competence. Since not everyone can afford a comparatively expensive direct flow system, Misterwater also offers a comparatively inexpensive reverse osmosis system with the Futura. In our opinion, the other Misterwater systems are also in a good price range for reverse osmosis systems.

How long is the lifespan of Misterwater systems?

Misterwater systems have an impressive lifespan that is unlimited, provided they are regularly maintained and serviced. We have been able to repair every system so far, as they are very modular in design and therefore easy to repair.

FAQ – Questions and Answers about Misterwater

Misterwater combines highly efficient reverse osmosis filtration (up to 9% pollutant removal) with energetic post-treatment using magnetic fields, light frequencies, and structuring ceramics. Optionally, you can also enrich your water with molecular hydrogen (H₂ module). This way, you don't just get filtered water – but a holistically optimized food.

With the H₂ module (e.g., Hydrogen Power Generator), pure molecular hydrogen is introduced, without pH attack or chemical additives. This provides antioxidant properties while maintaining an unchanged taste.

Through the combination of pre-filters (sediment, activated carbon) and reverse osmosis, the following are reliably removed:

  • Chlorine
  • Limescale
  • Heavy metals
  • Nitrate
  • Microplastics
  • Germs, bacteria & viruses
  • Drug residues

Most systems (e.g., Futura, Arctica) do use electricity, but they are chemical-free and operate solely on water pressure. Exceptions are devices with a Hydrogen Power Generator, which require electricity for hydrogen generation.

The filter replacement structure includes:

  • Replace pre-filters approximately every 12 months
  • Membrane (for devices with reverse osmosis) after about 2–3 years or:
    • if the flow rate drops below 0.5 l/min
    • the water values deteriorate (PPM above 30)

Devices like Arctica have LED indicators that provide timely notification for filter replacement. For Futura and Arctica, there are modular quick-release systems – easy to handle yourself.
