Yes, partially. Membrane filtration reduces mineral components – for high water hardness, an optional limescale pre-filter can be installed upstream to protect membranes and increase their lifespan. For water hardness above 20 °dH, an additional limescale pre-filter is recommended.

The MisterWater Silverstar treats tap water using a multi-stage direct flow process. The water is filtered directly as it passes through, without a storage tank – fresh, hygienic, and without stagnant water.

Step 1: Optional Limescale Pre-filter

For high water hardness, a limescale pre-filter can be installed upstream. This reduces limescale-forming minerals, protects subsequent filters, and extends the lifespan of the membranes.

Step 2: Activated Carbon Filtration

An integrated activated carbon filter removes chlorine, organic compounds, and unwanted odors and tastes. The water's sensory quality is significantly improved and optimally prepared for membrane filtration.

Step 3–5: Multi-stage Membrane Filtration

Three membranes connected in series progressively purify the water at a molecular level. They reliably retain dissolved pollutants, heavy metals, drug residues, pesticides, and micropollutants. By dividing the process among multiple membranes, the system operates particularly efficiently and durably.

Step 6: UVC Disinfection

The filtered water is then passed through a UVC LED. The UV light deactivates any remaining germs or bacteria – completely without chemicals – providing additional hygienic safety.

Step 7: Water Swirl

Targeted swirling replicates the natural movement of spring water. This contributes to a uniform water structure and a fresh, vibrant taste.

Step 8: Bio-Energy Module

In the final step, the water is energized via a bio-energy module. The goal is to harmonize the water's structure and enhance its sensory quality – for a particularly pleasant drinking experience.

The result is pure, hygienically safe, and simultaneously revitalized drinking water, drawn directly from the system – no tank, no waiting time, fresh at any time.

The Silver Star filter system is installed at the water connection where you want to draw water – usually in the kitchen. For installation, you only need a cold water connection, an electrical outlet, sufficient space for the filter, and a wastewater siphon.

You can generally install your Silver Star yourself. However, we recommend professional installation by our assembly service. This way, you ensure that everything is optimally connected – and you also receive a warranty on the installation.

We recommend changing the filter system of your Silver Star unit after approximately 9,000 liters or every 12 months. You only need to change the membranes every 3 years. A modern LCD display conveniently shows you the filter change and membrane status.

You can purchase the replacement filter for your Silver Star for as little as €79. High-quality 150 GPD membranes are available for €249.
