No – the EVOsorb is deliberately designed without limescale protection. It focuses entirely on removing pollutants and germs, not on changing water hardness like its limescale-removing brother, the EVOdescale.

This makes it the perfect solution for anyone who wants pure nanofiltration without interfering with the natural mineral structure of the water.

The EVOsorb combines two state-of-the-art filtration principles in one compact system. Firstly, it uses an activated carbon-based filter line, which is not pressed or poured like conventional activated carbon filters, but multi-layered and wound. This winding creates hundreds of overlapping activated carbon layers, which generate an enormously large surface area. This prevents so-called "channeling" – i.e., no channels through which water flows unevenly and reduces filter performance. The result is a uniform, consistently high filtering effect throughout its entire lifespan.

Additionally, the EVOsorb utilizes a self-developed adsorption and nanofiltration technology. Mineral particles in the nanometer range are embedded in the filter structure, which generate an electrical potential difference through a special REDOX process. This has an antibacterial and antiviral effect by neutralizing bacteria and viruses – without releasing metals, chemicals, or additives into the water.

Thus, the EVOsorb combines mechanical depth filtration, chemical-free germ neutralization, and sustainable Swiss precision in one system.

The filter is centrally integrated into the main water pipe – directly after the water meter and pressure reducer. It is suitable as a whole-house water filter for both new buildings and existing systems and complies with DIN 1988 specifications for drinking water. The housing has 1-inch connections (flat-sealing thread) and is suitable for installations according to DIN 1988.

A cartridge change is recommended once a year. In cases of particularly heavy water contamination (e.g., due to high heavy metal or particle values), an earlier change may be advisable. By the way: The filter performance remains constant over the entire recommended service life of one year - a clear advantage compared to many other activated carbon filters.

The filter is changed by replacing the entire filter cartridge. The filter change can be done by yourself; only the upper housing cap needs to be removed.
