How good is the Aquantum osmosis system by H.Preiss?

When it comes to high performance and corresponding water quality, the Aquantum by H.Preiss is one of the most exciting devices on the market. We wanted to know how the "big sister" of the well-known WOW-Directflow system performs in everyday life – and extensively tested the under-sink osmosis system in our water filter kitchen. Our goal: to find out if it delivers on its promises – maximum flow rate, easy handling, and uncompromising water purity.

Scope of delivery & first impression

Even when unpacking, one notices: The Aquantum is a quality product. The scope of delivery includes all important connections, the water stop, hoses, and the power cable – all clearly labeled and logically arranged. The plastic housing appears robust, functional, and of high-quality craftsmanship.

The system is clearly designed for longevity: stable plastic elements, clean seals, and a tidy interior. You immediately notice that practicality, not show, was the focus here – everything has its place, everything fits together.

Installation & Operation

The installation of the Aquantum is extremely simple. All inputs and outputs are clearly labeled, and the hoses are attached with click and plug connections. Connect a power cable, connect the water supply – done. Even those without technical experience can do this without problems.

Particularly positive: The filter change works completely without tools. Remove the lid, turn the filter using the bayonet catch, insert the new filter – everything is done in a few seconds. No technician, no maintenance costs. Regular filter changes are enough to keep the system in top shape permanently. This is a clear difference from other manufacturers.

Technical Evaluation & Functions

The Aquantum is a direct-flow osmosis system – meaning it produces filtered water in real-time, without a tank. This eliminates the risk of contamination that can occur with conventional tank systems.

Inside, a multi-stage filter system with a pre-filter and main membrane including an activated carbon block is at work.

  • The pre-filter removes coarse particles and sediments.
  • The membrane provides the actual reverse osmosis and removes even the finest pollutants.
  • The activated carbon block neutralizes odor and taste substances.

An exciting extra is the integrated Helio Esmog Protector – a module that, according to the manufacturer, neutralizes electromagnetic radiation in and around the system. This keeps the water free from energetic pollution – a detail that is rarely found and shows how holistically the system is designed.

Practical Test: Flow Rate, Noise Level and PPM Value

In the practical test, the Aquantum shows why it has hardly any competition in its performance class.

Half a liter of water was dispensed in just 12 seconds – which corresponds to a flow rate of approximately 2.5 liters per minute. This makes the Aquantum currently the record holder among all systems we have tested so far.

Despite the high performance, the system remains pleasantly quiet. The pump works smoothly and consistently, without annoying humming – ideal for offices or open kitchens.

In the PPM test (Parts per Million), we achieved excellent values:

  • Tap water: 327 ppm
  • Filtered water: 8 ppm

This is an excellent degree of purification – especially with this high flow rate. The water tastes soft, neutral, and refreshingly clear. Limescale, chlorine, medicinal residues, or other substances are completely removed.

Since the system – like all H.Preiss models – does not remineralize, a particularly transportable water is produced, which has an excellent detoxifying effect.

Conclusion

The Aquantum osmosis system by H.Preiss is a top-class water filter.
It combines enormous filtering performance with well-thought-out design, easy maintenance, and impressive everyday usability.

We were particularly impressed by:

  • The record flow rate of 2.5 l/min
  • The quiet operation despite a powerful pump
  • Tool-free maintenance and intuitive operation
  • The hygienic direct-flow system without a tank

Returns to Blue Nature Services are at the expense and risk of the customer.
