Carawater Filtradoc M – Flow rate up to 30,000 L

The FILTRADOC M uses a three-stage filter system that reduces particles, chemical contaminants, and microbiological impurities in one compact cartridge.

First, a sediment filter removes coarse particles such as sand, rust, or sludge from the water. Then, the water passes through an activated carbon block filter, which reduces chlorine, organic compounds, and substances that impair taste and odor. The third stage consists of an ultrafiltration membrane, which reliably retains germs, bacteria, and viruses.

Additionally, the FILTRADOC M features a special micro-field fabric that helps protect against biofilm formation and germ development in stagnant water. This makes the system particularly suitable for applications where water is not used daily, for example, in RVs, boats, or vacation homes.

The Filtration Process – Step by Step

1. Sediment Filtration: Water is first passed through a sediment filter with a pore size of 1 micron. This retains coarse particles such as sand, rust, sludge, and other suspended solids. The filter insert is washable and can be reused multiple times.
2. Activated Carbon Filtration: In the second step, the water passes through an activated carbon granular filter made from coconut shells. This filter stage reduces chlorine, volatile organic compounds, and odor and taste substances, thereby improving the sensory quality of the water.
3. Ultrafiltration: As the final stage, the water is passed through an ultrafiltration membrane with a pore size of 0.02 microns. This membrane reduces up to 99.9999% of bacteria, germs, and viruses, ensuring that only hygienically purified water is dispensed.

Additional Hygiene Protection

The antibacterial coating of the filter housing supports hygiene within the system and contributes to the reduction of biofilm formation and germ development. After the filtration process, pure and mild water is produced.

• Replacement cartridge FILTRADOC M

The FILTRADOC M was developed for the filtration of particles, organic substances, and microorganisms. Targeted limescale reduction or water softening is not part of this system's design. However, you can order the limescale filter separately.

The FILTRADOC M is integrated centrally into the fresh water line of a motorhome, camper van, caravan or boat. The installation takes place after the fresh water tank and before the taps, so that all water is filtered before use.

Thanks to its high flow rate of up to 7 litres per minute, the system is suitable for supplying several consumers simultaneously, for example:

• Kitchen faucet
• Washbasin
• Shower
• Other water taps in the vehicle

This ensures that hygienically treated and taste-improved water is available throughout the entire onboard water system. In contrast to the FILTRADOC S, which was primarily designed for individual taps, the FILTRADOC M takes over central water filtration for the entire vehicle.

The FILTRADOC M has a filter capacity of up to 30,000 litres. For consistently high water quality, the cartridge should be changed after a maximum of 30,000 L.

The patented water stop in the filter head is particularly convenient. When the cartridge is removed, an integrated valve automatically shuts off the water supply. This means that neither the water supply has to be shut off nor the pipe system emptied. The cartridge change is quick, clean and tool-free.

Filter change – simply done in a few minutes

The filter cartridge change is tool-free and takes only a few minutes. Thanks to the ingenious bayonet lock, the cartridge can be quickly removed and replaced.

How the filter change works – step-by-step to a new filter:

1. Unlock filter cartridge: Turn the used filter unit to the left until it detaches from the holder.
2. Remove filter cartridge: Then pull the cartridge downwards and remove it completely.
3. Insert new cartridge: Remove the hygiene cap from the new filter unit and insert the cartridge from below into the filter head.
4. Lock cartridge: Turn the new filter unit to the right until it locks securely into place.
5. Flush filter: After changing, the filter should be flushed for about 3 minutes so that the system is fully operational.
