The filter module of the EVOadsorb consists of an activated carbon part and a lime filtration part. Like the EVOdescale, the filter demonstrably removes heavy metals and bacteria and viruses from the water, but additionally microplastics, pesticides & chlorine, and drug residues.

This is how filtration works: Due to the micro-fine structure with pore depths of up to 2 nm, even the smallest particles are reliably retained. In addition, chemical substances are absorbed by the activated carbon. Finally, malic acid ensures that limescale no longer adheres. What remains is clean, tasteless water.

The EVOadsorb reduces limescale deposits by up to 80%. It works without ion exchange or salt, but instead changes the structure of limescale molecules using malic acid so that they no longer adhere – sustainably, without additives, and with low maintenance. Valuable minerals are retained in the process. For households with high limescale content, consultation with the advisory team should be sought – the systems can be modularly reinforced to achieve better limescale protection.

No, the malic acid in the EVOadsorb is granular and tasteless, but it binds limescale, which leads to a fresh taste. It does not give the water any inherent taste, as is sometimes the case with salt softening systems. Evodrop strives to provide "mountain spring fresh" water in terms of taste.

The filter is centrally integrated into the house's water pipe – directly after the water meter and pressure reducer. It thus protects the entire house installation, including kitchen, bathroom, and appliances. It has 1-inch connections (flat sealing thread) and is suitable for installations according to DIN 1988.

A cartridge change is recommended once a year. In the case of highly calcareous water, an earlier change may be necessary, as the filter can become clogged.
