Carawater Filtradoc S – Flow rate up to 12,000 L

The FILTRADOC S was developed for drinking water filtration and combines three coordinated filter stages in a particularly compact cartridge. The water is filtered immediately before dispensing, removing particles, chemical contaminants, and microbiological impurities.

The first stage handles mechanical pre-filtration of coarse particles. Subsequently, an activated carbon block filter reduces chlorine, organic compounds, and substances that impair taste and odor. In the third stage, an ultrafiltration membrane ensures the hygienic safety of the water by reliably retaining germs, bacteria, and other microorganisms.

Additionally, the FILTRADOC S features a special micro-field fabric that helps prevent biofilm formation and germ development in stagnant water. This makes the system particularly suitable for applications where water is not used daily, such as in RVs, boats, or vacation homes.

The Filtration Process – Step by Step

1. Sediment Filtration: Water is first passed through a sediment filter with a pore size of 1 micron. This retains coarse particles such as sand, rust, sludge, and other suspended solids. The filter insert is washable and can be reused multiple times.
2. Activated Carbon Filtration: In the second step, the water passes through an activated carbon granular filter made from coconut shells. This filter stage reduces chlorine, volatile organic compounds, as well as odor and taste-impairing substances, thereby improving the sensory quality of the water.
3. Ultrafiltration: As the final stage, water is passed through an ultrafiltration membrane with a pore size of 0.02 microns. This membrane reduces up to 99.9999% of bacteria, germs, and viruses, ensuring that only hygienically purified water is dispensed.

The FILTRADOC S was developed for the filtration of particles, organic substances, and microorganisms. Targeted limescale reduction or water softening is not part of the filter system.

The FILTRADOC S is installed directly at a single tap, for example, on the cold water line in the kitchen. In addition, it is suitable as a central drinking water filter for motorhomes, campers, boats, or yachts with lower water flow. By installing it immediately before the tap, the water is filtered only at the last step and is available in high quality directly from the faucet.

The filter cartridge has a capacity of up to 12,000 liters, depending on water quality and intensity of use. For consistently high water quality, regular replacement of the cartridge according to the manufacturer's recommendation is advisable. Thanks to the compact cartridge system, filter replacement is quick and straightforward. The cost is €149.00.

Changing the filter is straightforward and takes just a few minutes. With our step-by-step guide, you can easily do it yourself.

Filter Change – Done in just a few minutes

The filter cartridge is replaced without tools and is done in just a few minutes. Thanks to the ingenious bayonet catch, the cartridge can be quickly removed and replaced.

How to change the filter:

1. Unlock cartridge: Turn the used filter unit to the left until it detaches from the holder.
2. Remove cartridge: Then pull the cartridge downwards and completely remove it from the filter head.
3. Insert new cartridge: Remove the protective cap of the new cartridge and insert the new filter unit into the filter head from below.
4. Lock cartridge: Turn the new cartridge to the right until it securely clicks into place in the holder.
5. Flush filter: After changing the filter, the new filter should be flushed for at least three minutes to prepare the system for operation.

Maintenance-friendly cartridge system

Thanks to the integrated quick-change system, there is no need to open filter housings. The complete filter unit is replaced as a cartridge, making the change clean, hygienic, and particularly user-friendly.
