The FILTRADOC PRE Speed TRIO V2 10” is a compact combination filter (filling filter) for treating water in fresh water tanks. The three-stage system combines sediment filtration (1 µm), activated carbon granules and an ultrafiltration membrane (0.02 µm) to ensure effective water purification after the tank has been filled.

Especially in mobile applications such as motorhomes or boats, germs can form or the taste of the water can change despite regular tank cleaning. The FILTRADOC filter is therefore installed after the fresh water tank and re-treats the water before it is drawn off. This significantly improves water quality.

Most FILTRADOC water filters from the filter series operate with a three-stage filtration system that combines mechanical filtration (sediment filtration), activated carbon treatment, and ultrafiltration (0.02 µm).

First, coarse particles are removed from the water by a sediment filter. Subsequently, an activated carbon granulate filter made of coconut shells reduces chemical substances such as chlorine, as well as odors and tastes. In the final step, the water passes through an ultrafiltration membrane with very fine pores, which retains bacteria, germs, and microorganisms.

This combination ensures that the water is purified again after tank storage, thereby reducing potential contaminants or microbiological loads.

The Filtration Process – Step by Step

1. Sediment Filtration

The water is first passed through a sediment filter with a pore size of 1 micrometer. This retains coarse particles such as sand, rust, sludge, and other suspended solids. The filter insert is washable and can be reused multiple times.

2. Activated Carbon Filtration

In the second step, the water passes through an activated carbon granulate filter made of coconut shells. This filter stage reduces chlorine, volatile organic compounds, as well as odors and tastes, thereby improving the sensory quality of the water.

3. Ultrafiltration

As the final stage, the water is passed through an ultrafiltration membrane with a pore size of 0.02 micrometers. This membrane reduces up to 99.9999% of bacteria, germs, and viruses, ensuring that only hygienically purified water is dispensed.

The FILTRADOC PRE Speed TRIO combines mechanical filtration, activated carbon treatment, and ultrafiltration in three different housings. This reduces particles, chemical substances, and microorganisms, and the water is purified again after tank storage.

Filtration can reduce, among other things:

  • Sand and sediments
  • Rust particles
  • Sludge and suspended solids
  • Chlorine
  • Volatile organic compounds
  • Unpleasant odors and tastes
  • Bacteria, germs, and microorganisms

The FILTRADOC PRE Speed TRIO is designed for particle, activated carbon, and ultrafiltration. Targeted lime reduction is not provided for in this model.

The FILTRADOC PRE Speed water filter is installed in the supply line to the fresh water tank, i.e. between the water source and the tank.

It serves as a filling filter, so that the water is filtered before it enters the tank. Typically, it is:

  • connected directly to the filling hose (e.g. via Gardena connectors)
  • inserted between the tap / water source and the fresh water tank
  • optionally permanently mounted on the tank filling line

This prevents sediments, suspended solids and microorganisms from even entering the fresh water tank, which improves the water quality throughout the system and keeps the tank clean.

You can generally install your FILTRADOC PRE Speed system yourself. However, we recommend professional installation by our installation service. This way you can be sure that everything is optimally connected – and you also receive a guarantee on the installation.

The filter change for the FILTRADOC Pre Speed is scheduled after 12 months or after consuming the maximum capacity of 15,000 liters.

The sediment filter is relatively inexpensive and is available from €14.90. The activated carbon filter costs approximately €50.

The ultrafiltration membrane generally has a significantly longer lifespan (3–4 years) and usually only needs to be replaced after a significantly higher water throughput or when filter performance decreases. The cost here is €199.00. You can find all detailed information on replacement filters and membranes here.

The filter change is uncomplicated and can be done in a few minutes. With our step-by-step instructions, you can easily change it yourself:
