MisterWater Arctica Water Filter Review
In our water filter kitchen, we tested the Arctica reverse osmosis system from MisterWater – a high-end system that does more than just filter. With UV treatment, a bioenergy module, vortex technology, holiday flush function, and an optional hydrogen generator (HPG), it combines technology and water vitalization at the highest level.
We wanted to know: How does the Arctica perform in everyday use? How cleanly does it filter, how loud is it – and is the upgrade worthwhile for households that value vitalized, germ-free water?
Construction & Workmanship of the Arctica Reverse Osmosis System
Upon opening, the thoughtful design of the Arctica becomes apparent. Inside are two high-quality membranes that ensure maximum filter performance and should be replaced approximately every three years. They form the core of the system: up to 99% of all foreign particles, bacteria, viruses, medication residues, hormones, and microplastics are reliably removed here.
After filtration, the water flows through the integrated vortex unit, where it is energetically treated. A silver UV module also ensures that no germs remain in the water. The system is rounded off by a bioenergy module with a gemstone, which vitalizes the water and restores its natural, “spring-fresh” structure.
The system is of high-quality workmanship, with solid technology and a clear structure. With only 10.5 cm deep, it even fits behind most kitchen kickboards – ideal for small kitchens with limited space.
Arctica Water Filter: Maintenance, Filter Replacement & Running Costs
When it comes to safety, the Arctica leaves nothing to chance. It comes with an external water stop, which is mounted at the inlet and immediately interrupts the water flow if moisture is detected. A second, internal sensor is located at the lowest point of the system – double security for every kitchen.
The system also impresses with its maintenance costs. The average annual costs are around 110 Euros, including filter and membrane replacement calculated over five years. Everything is modular and can be replaced without tools – quickly, cleanly, and easily.

The Arctica Water Filter System in Practice – Flow Rate, Noise Level & Filter Performance
Now it's time for testing: In the lab of the water filter kitchen, we tested the Arctica under real conditions. Half a liter of water was filtered in 31 seconds – which corresponds to about one liter per minute. The noise level was 65 decibels and thus exactly within the manufacturer's specifications. The operating noise is pleasantly even – no clicking, no humming, no buzzing.
Even more impressive were the measurement results of the water quality:
The tap water had 331 ppm, the filtered water only 17 ppm.
Anything below 40 ppm is considered excellent – optimal for the body, because the water can effectively transport pollutants and absorb nutrients. The result: soft, taste-neutral, pleasantly “light” water, which has a perfect detoxifying effect.
Smart Additional Functions of the MisterWater Arctica
A particular highlight of the Arctica is the automatic holiday flush function. If the system has not been in operation for 24 hours, it detects this and flushes itself completely. This prevents stagnant water in the system, and the risk of contamination is reduced to a minimum – an important safety aspect, especially in summer.
Additionally, the Arctica can be combined with the HPG hydrogen generator. Both devices are perfectly matched and together produce hydrogen water with an optimal flow rate. The system is maintenance-free, activated by a simple switch, and produces fresh, modular hydrogen-enriched drinking water at the touch of a button.
Hydrogen water is considered particularly antioxidant and supportive for energy balance and regeneration – a plus for anyone who values health and performance.
Conclusion: Is the Arctica Water Filter Worth It?
The Arctica reverse osmosis system is one of the most modern water filter systems on the market. It combines powerful filtration with energetic water treatment. The combination of UV module, bioenergy module, vortex technology, holiday flush function, and HPG hydrogen generator is unique in this class.
We were particularly impressed by the excellent water quality with 17 ppm, the quiet operation, and the sophisticated safety and flushing technology. The noise level of 65 decibels is on the higher side but by no means dramatic, as it is an under-sink unit. Added to this are fair maintenance costs and a compact design that fits into any kitchen.
Our conclusion:
The Arctica is a true premium water filter system – ideal for demanding households that want to enjoy pure, vitalized, and, if desired, hydrogen-enriched drinking water.
