Entron F-Series Reverse Osmosis System Reviewed – Is the Price-Performance Ratio Right?
In our water filter kitchen, we tested the Entron under-sink osmosis system – a compact, budget-friendly solution for anyone who wants to enjoy clean drinking water directly from the tap. Our goal was clear: How does the Entron perform in terms of filtration performance, operation, flow rate, and water quality in everyday use? And can it compete with premium systems despite its affordable price?
Scope of Delivery & First Impression
The Entron comes as a classic under-sink reverse osmosis system which – as the name suggests – disappears invisibly under the countertop. The scope of delivery includes everything you need for installation, including a two-way stainless steel tap, hoses, and connectors.
Right from the first glance, it's clear that the system is designed for everyday practicality:
Robust materials, clear labeling, and a well-thought-out design.
The tap offers two dispensing options – pure water or remineralized water. This allows the water to be perfectly adapted to its intended purpose:
- Pure water for cooking or for the kettle – no limescale, no deposits.
- Remineralized water for drinking – balanced, fresh, and harmoniously flavored.
Installation & Operation
The Entron impresses with its easy handling. The magnetic front cover can be removed with a single movement, and filter changes are done in seconds. Each filter is clearly labeled – you practically can't do anything wrong. Thanks to the bayonet fitting, the filters can be removed and replaced without tools.
Another plus: After changing the filter, a brief press of the reset button is enough, and the system automatically recognizes that new filters have been installed. No technician, no maintenance costs – the Entron is designed for self-operation.
Technical Evaluation & Features
The Entron is a direct-flow osmosis system – it produces filtered water directly when dispensed, without a tank.
This prevents water from standing or becoming contaminated, ensuring maximum hygiene.
Inside, a multi-stage filter system operates:
-
Sediment and activated carbon pre-filters remove coarse particles, chlorine, odors, and tastes.
-
Reverse osmosis membrane filters out bacteria, viruses, and pollutants down to a molecular level.
-
Post-filter remineralizes the water for a natural taste.
A vitalization stage is not integrated – but the system can be easily combined with modules such as UMH, Aquaspin or EvoCharge to additionally energize the water. Especially in combination with a UMH module, a complete system is created: filtered, remineralized, and vitalized.
Practical Test: Flow Rate, Volume & PPM Value
In the test, the Entron system delivered flawlessly.
Half a liter of water was dispensed in about 20 seconds – which corresponds to a flow rate of around 1.5 liters per minute.
This places it in the solid mid-range and provides consistent pressure even with prolonged use.
The volume during operation was 54 decibels – relatively quiet, no disturbing noise in everyday life.
Compared to other models, it is exactly where its price range suggests: unobtrusive, quiet, and reliable.
However, the water quality is crucial:
- Tap water: 327 ppm
-
Filtered water: 7 ppm
An excellent value for this price range. The water tastes soft, clear, and free of any aftertaste. Especially for households with medium water hardness, this is a real upgrade.
Conclusion
The Entron under-sink osmosis system impresses with clear strengths:
- Easy operation and tool-free filter change
- Good filtration performance and reliable remineralization
- Hygienic direct-flow system without a tank
-
Solid flow rate and pleasant volume
It is aimed at price-conscious users who value clean water and uncomplicated technology. If you also want to enjoy vitalized water, you can easily expand the system with a UMH module or comparable technology.
Our conclusion:
A well-designed, powerful system with a strong price-performance ratio – perfect for beginners and families who value quality.
